Great results for Le Chéile in the Dublin Marathon 2019

A massive congratulations to all the Le Chéile athletes who gave their all in the Dublin marathon on Sunday October 27th. Some amazing performances out there in what were perfect conditions. Patrick Monahan was the winner of the wheelchair race – what an achievement! Jan Corcoran was one of the leading maters ladies home overall and realized a life time ambition of running under 3 hours – smashing it in 2:52. Marc Augustin was the first runner from our club home in a superb 2:39 for a huge PB. Karl Fitzgerald also pulled off a great 2:45 PB. Many others had really brilliant performances as you will see from the results table. Tough luck to those who had issues with injury. Well done again to everyone and enjoy the celebrations.

A huge well done to our first three ladies Jan, Lisa Hughes and Louise Long who were second placed o35 team in the National Championship. An All Ireland o35 Silver team medal for the ladies – phenomenal stuff! The Dublin marathon also serves as the Leinster championship race. Our brilliant ladies were also very successful in those results with Jan 3rd place senior, Louise 2nd place o35 & Lisa 3rd place o45. Combined this gave them Leinster senior 2nd placed team & another great silver team medal!
