Weekend roundup January 11th/12th
Well done to all the Le Chéile athletes in action in various races over the weekend.
Huge congratulations to Brian McGrath who won Leinster cross county O65 masters gold in Gowran, Co Kilkenny. He still has the magic 28 years after his first Leinster cross county masters gold – the NACAI race held in Carton House in 1992.
Caoimhe Cronin had a great run in the 400m in the Senior AAI league, clocking 57sec. This was a great performance to get into the legs ahead of the upcoming All Ireland Junior championships. All the results from the Senior AAI league here: http://live.athleticsireland.ie/menu.html.
Karl Fitzgerald, Donal Fleming and Mark Raleigh were in action in the Popupraces “World Half Marathon Festival” in Donadea forest. Karl won his race in 1h19, a very impressive time for an event run on trail in the month of January. Donal came home in 3rd in 1h28 and Mark had a solid run too in 1h41.
