Successful weekend for Le Chéile athletes

Confratulations to all the Le Chéile athletes in action at the weekend in various events around the country.

Well done to all the juveniles in action in the Kildare cross country championships. In the u14 mixed relay race Fionn Hayes, Clillian Gleeson, Maeve Augustin and Ellen Doherty ran very well to come home in 5th. They also got a nice post race photo afterwards.

Lisa Hughes had a great run to come home as 5th lady in the Clonakilty marathon in Co. Cork. On a very challenging course, with tough weather conditions, Lisa ran brilliantly to record a time of 3.35. Andy Grehan was also in action in the Clontarf half marathon in Dublin, recording a new PB of 1.29. A great milestone to reach. Some of the route for the race crosses over the beach on Bull Island so hopefully there will be plenty more improvement to come from Andy on courses that are all on road.
