A fantastic performance from Aisling O’Loughlin this morning in her first international race, representing Ireland at the British & Irish Junior International Mountain Running Championships. ☘️

8.3km over a very challenging mountain course
 🏁 14th overall
 🇮🇪 2nd Irish U18 female home

Ireland finished 4th overall, just outside the medals, in a race dominated by a very strong Scottish team.

This is a wonderful achievement for any athlete, and particularly impressive for Aisling at just 15 years of age and in her first international appearance.

A huge well done to Aisling, her coaches and her family for all the work and support that has gone into reaching this level.
